If you can stand the extra little bit of work, just do the tensioner and see what she comes up like ...the chains are not that expensive , so if you have a spare few bucks I would swap it out too...

I dont buy the cam chain being worn out by 21K. I'm almost certain mine is original at 41K and its still just fine.

Yer mine has tons more that that on it too .... but yu never know how hard it has been thrashed ...That why I covered all options mate .. ( " but it may still be ok " )

I think as I said doing the tensioner and then trying her out first is the best way , but a bit more work..

Cam chain will certainly be something I check out when I get the chance. I may have a garage to work in this winter, but before that, I don't think so. Either way, valve adjustment will be done sometime soon, whether by me or a shop.
