89 hurricane will not run at low rpm
Need help fast guys before I put a bullet in this thing.
I changed plugs and cleaned the air filter last week, and did a full vinyl wrap job on the bike. I go to ride it today and it fires up good cold.... after about 2 minutes the idle jumps to 3k rpm and won't drop.
I went back through everything I did and can't find anything wrong.
I can get the idle to drop to around 2k rpm for a little bit and then it either stumbles down to 13000 and dies or raises back up to 4k rpm.
I took it around the block to see what it was doing in gear. Its surging kind of, and when I come to a stop it dies and I have to give it half throttle or so before it will fire back up.
Please help fast guys its getting on my nerves.
This is my week for vacation and I can't even ride.

Next time you clean the carbs take the choke link shaft out and wipe it down, they can get gummed up pretty good. Also a good idea to lube that choke cable.
