I found this photo from manual. That pin is supposed to be in between shift-spring arms. I suspect that's why one of the arms is bent on yours.

Make sure you re-install everything with that stud/pin between spring arms. Not to one side like in your previous photos. Otherwise it’ll bend spring arm just like before and shifter will stop returning.

Yes so when initially fell out I had then tryed the gear shifter when the pin wasnt inbetween the spring this bending it , got the got the shift rod out by hammering the life out of it and then sanded it down so goes in smoother, point to note if anyone is carrying this out make sure thatyou push the washer up the rod so if the rod comes out the washer don’t fall in to the sump! But Yh all good now I will mot next week , I got bike for free spent 400€ on it another 70€ for mot but I would be lucky I think to get 1000€ for it even thou I’ve literally done everything to this bike to get it reliable and working as it should , brakes rebuild, carb, fuel pump chain lights steering bearing valve adjustments hmmm not really about the money but I feel like it’s worth more than a 1000€ just don’t think it’s possible to get more
