Ok so a bike that’s new to me, was told it runs needed a new solenoid got that and yep it turns over. However it won’t fire up. Doesn’t seem to have any power to the fuel pump or spark. Any ideas where to start looking? I was as always optimistic that it would fire up but it didn’t!

if the fuel pump does not make any sound and you've yet to start it, it might not be working and it acts as a blocker for your carbs. normally when u turn the ignition it should make some clicking sounds unless its brim full ( like after a ride and its not sat for too long) .

so fuel starvation might be ur issue. u can bypass the fuel pump by splicing the two ends with some sort of pipe. should fuel ur carbs enough to start .

 

I charged the battery fully for 10 hours and the bike fired straight up…. Happy days!!!
