1987 CBR600 spark plug wires
My son bought an '87 CBR600 which makes me the mechanic. I have been going through this bike and reading posts etc. to learn and one thing I can't find any direct link or information on is getting a new set of spark plug wires for this bike. I know these are resistor wires since one was literally in pieces (inside of the motor) and I had to put it back together after fishing the pieces out. But what is the best way to get replacement wires? I saw someone comment that getting original wires (vs. generics that you cut etc.) is the way to go, but I have yet to find any OEM wires listed.
The bike has fluttering issues when you accelerate and then will kick in as the RPM climbs. So I am not just changing parts for run, just trying to get the electrical to be at 100% before I start on my next step of fuel system work (already did a basic cleaning and float bowl gasket replacement on the carbs). This definitely made the bike start and idle better. Read a ton of posts on carb rebuilds, carb sync etc. and I know this isn't an exact science.
Thanks for any info.

Slim pickings there on ebay. Used set which has a single coil pack so not an exact match for the CGR600 F0 and some not really exact fit items where the plug boot etc. look very different.. Was really hoping to buy something brand new that would fit the bike; even if that was a make it yourself deal with some details on making the cable for the CBR600. I have been checking resistance on existing cables and they seem to be in the 4.5k - 4.7k range. The one I had to put back together is 4.5k.

Since I don't know what that is, No. I think I saw a thread on that, should I just search or do you have a link? By the way, not looking to spend a lot of money on this since it his first motorcycle; but want it to pull ok up through the gears so it is easy to ride. I just did resistance check on the existing wires, 4.5k 4.7k, 5.0k and one is intermittently open, then 5.1k when I flex it. Could be part of the problem.

Flutter issues generally aren’t spark plug wire related in my experience. If you describe exactly what it’s doing we may be able to help. If your stumbling at throttle up your idle circuit may not be totally clean and or the pilot screws are not set correctly. Vacuum leaks can also cause stumbling and hanging throttle. Pilot jets “must” be completely clean. You need to see light thru them which is not easy to do. Pilot circuit needs to be completely disassembled including jets and pilot screws and packings. Carb cleaner should be sprayed both ways into the screw holes and into the jet orifice. Fluid should com out both ways. Most people do not take the pilot screws out when cleaning which is a big mistake on these bikes. Make sure the float bowls are removed before you try to take pilot screws out as they have a factory stop that will cause them to break. I grind the flats off once the screws are out of the carbs.
