Default 1987 cbr 600

hello, im planning on buying this bike, but my problem is how to figure out problem with bike. from what seller said it had good turn over but wont start. it have 18k miles on clock. so, far im guessing carb might be a problem, but can it be something else like connection or fuel? just curious if there anyone had this problem before. besides this is gonna be my first bike :P

It's a good starter bike for sure, don't know what shape that one is in but if you buy it get the service manual unless your not mechanically inclined, in that case be prepared to spend some money at a repair shop.

we end up agreed to leave it to shop to fix it, then ill buy it from the seller in two weeks

How much is the asking price for this bike that doesnt start? thats my first question, thats going to influence ant other advice I may give

850 with out shop fixing it which means i buy it as it is. then fix it my self or something vs have shop fix it and then buy it from him for little higher price like 1k i think

If the bike is in good enough condition(except for starting) I would buy it as is, I can guarantee the bike will cost more than 1000 if he has it fixed, shop work isn't that cheap. I bought a running bike and still had to spend 500+ at a shop to get it running right( could have done it myself but didn't have time). Just my 2 cents.

it could, but he dont have time to fix it or ride it far as i know. so if i cant buy it then oh well. but still cost me nothing. i can just keep looking
