This should give a good idea of the frame condition

You can call around....but for what a skilled welder is going to charge - it'd probably be better to get a new used frame and scrap that one (its aluminum so its probably worth some money to scrap it).

I don't know how that happened, but whatever cracked those welds, I'm sure it hurt.

She hit a pothole very hard, caused the front tyre to loose all its air pressure instantly and down she went. One lightly bent rim, one bent fork and a wrecked frame. Go figure.

That must have been some pothole....

Well, now you have a decision to make - what good parts do you have?

Now David, I know I like a callenge with an old bike -but you take it to a whole new level

Now for the frame -scrap it. Even if you get the best welder in the world, some things you just never could trust at 100 km/h plus. And have you measured the frame for 'straightness'?

I'd be hunting up a good used frame from a non-crashed bike.

That of course is advice completely IMHO

Whatever you do, good luck with the project.

Cheers, SB

PS: Some bikes were never meant to be rebuilt after an 'off '

pfft, that's only cosmetic SB. I can't believe he didn't hop back on it and finish the race...

As cheap of a guy as I am - I'd still have a REALLY hard time not tearing through that bike to find something that's still usuable as opposed to just throwing it in the trash...

With a little bit of work, that Triumph could be ready for next year's Moto3 Unicycle series.

I have a BAD idea for that bike since your frame is screwed....

But.....

and I say this with caution.....

Find a 900rr frame....(and <-that assumes you know someone who can weld aluminum)

Dude! The guy's up and standing before the bike even stops, and it still gets cut in half!!! I've never seen a bike split like that before! Just hoping the old five-to-ten is a bit more rigid than that. Was just about ready to start the smack talk of the sssa on that bike seeing how it bent to the side but turns out it's got the traditional one.

But I digress... seriously, that frame is a fishnet weight at best. I'd get a big angle grinder and would have 5 minutes of fun with it, specially splitting the key parts like engine mounts and swing attachment points so no one else will try to fix it either. Good luck finding a new one, it'll be interesting to see what becomes of this project.
