Default Upgrading to cbr1000

Hi I currently own a cbr600 F4I. I have been tossing around upgrading to a cbr 1000. My question is should I buy new, or is there a newer year of the 1000 that is great? If so what used year should I look for?

Thanks

06-07 models are great with no major issues (except for leaking tanks).
08 had small oil burning issues (not sure if there are others).

Personally Id look for a 09 then. No major issues, lighter and smaller than the 06-07's and look good.

09 has ABS option. From 08 to 09, I think the bars are 2mm higher and 1.5mm back (I may have these number a little off). Also I think there's about 5mm more front fork travel in the 09.

Does this make a difference? ABS is kinda cool. There's a bit more weight and a slight bulge on the fairing to accommodate it. It might save your butt, but experience with the bike will help more. I opted for an 08.
