Default Upgrading the front of 90 CBR1000 hurricane

Is it possible to upgrade the front of the bike, the whole windshield, headlight are? If so, what year is compatable with the swap?

Hey:

If you get all the parts a 93-96 CBR1000F can be made to work you just need new mirrors with built in indicators or the 93-96 ones or some other way to put on indicators. You need all the parts of the fairing and the newer fairing frame and Headlight. This can get pretty expensive unless you get a good deal. Also a CBR1100XX top can be made to work if you have some good fabrication skills, you will also need its headlight and wire it in. Also with enough fore thought, fab skills, and parts just about any thing can be made to work, even a 2010 CBR1000RR, Good luck with your project.

Dub

BTW this is a pic of My 91 with the newer bodywork.

Yo dude, you stole my look. Again, not to nitpick, but you need to lose the OEM decals. They don't quite work with yellow. As to techgirl's question, someone here put Blacbird uppers on his bike, though I don't remember how easy a job it was.

Fabricating is definitely something we can do. Thank you for the info on what will fit. You guys are awesome. Now,..if only we can find the parts for a decent price. Would you guys happen to know where we can find the original seat for this bike? My husband hates the one on here. Looks like a cruiser seat.

Oh, and I love your bike dub!

Hey:

@Sprock, Yes sir they are off a 96, I used to have on my 88, it looked great but they got pretty scratched up while in stowage, Hence they got the paint Job. I have some more touch ups to do on them to get them perfect so not all done yet. but soon I will have it done, I hope, then I'll post up some newer pics.

@ techgirl, Thank You and post up a pic of your seat as I might have a trade for you or PM me pic.

Dub
