Im gonna go to the dealership tomorrow and see what i can get on a trade in, they have a brand new 07 there listed at 11,500 but i wouldnt pay that, what would be a fair offer on A Brand new 07 from the honda shop?
What I mean to say is, centrifugal force/gyroscopic forces are what keep a bike up and down... with a liter bike you've got heavier moving parts which drive those forces which add "weight" thrown to keep the bike up and down which would make the bike seem heavier when braking or leaning it from side to side.

And holy moly an '07 still in the showroom. Looks like they have the bike up for NADA value:

2007 Honda CBR1000RR7 - 998cc Standard Equipment, 2007 Honda CBR1000RR7 - 998cc Price & Specs | NADAguides

That's kinda tough. They are technically asking a "fair" price, but that bike turns into a $7000 bike as soon as you sign that bottom line. I would ask them to see if they can bring it down to "Average NADA Retail" and make sure you ask about the warranty. You want to make sure you're getting a new bike warranty instead of a used bike warranty... I dunno what they'll end up doing with a bike that old.

Yeah i was surprised to see it too, they said its never been started or anything. But i doubt they will come remotely close to half though, i was thinking of maybe offering like 8 or 9 and go from there. But i understand what your saying now raylee, tht makes complete sense, but when you say heavier i guess its not that much heavier.
But yeah i would probably just ride it a bit and see if i really need risers or not. I may just be fine the way it is. I think ive just been spoiled by the f4i in regards to riding position. And if it it depreciates im not worried because i plan to keep it for a while.

So that 07 is a no go all they said they can do is drop it to 10,000 and waive the freight. And they offered me 1800 on a trade-in. I guess they just dont want to sell.

$10,000 is a ridiculous price for an '07, even if it has never been started. The 08s were selling for slightly less than $7k at one time, brand new from the dealer.

Yeah they seemed crazy and not really willing to sell. If i could find one for 7 i would jump right on it. $10,000 was a "discount" too haha

i took my 1000rr out for the first time today and i lover everything about it. the riding position was great and handling was remarkable. only thing is watch your speed i caught my self going over 90 down the highway becasue i didnt look at the speedo and it will just fly with ease.
over all i couldnt be happier going from my f4i to this 07 1k rr

I went from the F4i to an 06 1kRR. The positions are different, and the ergonomics are different as well. It's definitely a more aggressive riding position on the 1k, but nothing you won't get used to after your first ride. Handling is better, but ease into that throttle slowly, because the little boost that you're used to getting with a half twist of your wrist on that F4i will lift your front wheel right off the ground on the 1k. Needless to say, you'll love it very soon.

I recently rode an 06 to test it out for a purchase and the seating position was very different, rear sets are higher and a little more towards the back of the bike, and i was laying in it. It wanted to dive into curves too compared to the f4i. Now the power i didnt really feel because it wasnt my bike. I would probably look into adjustable rear sets and risers.
