Default Swingarm Help

I need to remove the swingarm to get it powdercoated. Anybody have an idea bout how to go about this? Was also wonderin how im gonna be able to leave it sittin on the ground or if its even capable of sittin flat.

Do you have a garage, if so tie some rope around your sub frame and suspend it from the rafters. Less stress on any point of the engine that is on the ground.

Did mine with a front stand and a jack placed under the header. Very solid. I didn't have any problems with mine while my swingarm was being p.coated. It was on the stands for about a week with 0 probs. Make sure you order the pivot bearing in advance or you'll be waitng a few extra days to throw it back on.

Anybody have trouble removing the swingarm? Im lookin at the manual and it looks pretty involved. Do u really need all these "special tools" or am i good wit by socket set? And where can i find the grease at?

When you do go for it. Make sure you buy new bearings....you may break the old ones trying to get them out. So buy them ahead of time. If I remember right they were only around 60 bucks or so. Only problem I had was with the shock linkage. Other than that it was ok.

I have the swingarm off and cant get one of the barrings out. WTF. Called Honda and they wanna charge me over $100 to pop the sucker out. How the hell can i get this thing out of there so i can get it to the powdercoaters? Please help
