Sorry to poke fun, but that line cracks me up.
I have a 2006 1000RR and I really wouldn't worry about it as long as it only takes a "little" longer than your 600's. I have 16,500 miles on my bike now nad I haven't had any issues with it at all (meanwhile, my friendd has an '06 GSXR w/ 4,000 miles that is already in the shop- and that is not to say that other brands suck, I am just pointing out a fact)
You bought a good bike and it should be fine, but you could always have a mechanic take a look at it.
...and welcome to the "open class" world. Be safe and respect your new-found power!

Should fire up pretty easy, my 06 starts easy just a second ortwo. It depends how long of cranking the motor yourtalkiing about but I wouldnt worry unless its getting harder andharder to start. Possibly fouled plugs or maybe your batterys low from sitting .Congrats on the bike your gonna love it Ijust boughtmy new 06 2 weeks ago : )
