I just changed my chain and sprockets, I went -1 in the front with a 520 conversion with rear steel sprocket just cause i ride everyday and like to do wheelies here and there. I got everything from Sprocket Center for $198, It came with 520 D.I.D chain the gold version one with the sprockets. Also they cut the chain if it needs to be cut. Shipping is off the hooks I had placed the order on a sunday and got my stuff on Wednesday.

520 conversions are so worth it. Man. Havent done it on this bike yet, but cant wait to do it. Made a very noticeable difference on my 600, and that was from a 525 chain. Going to a 520 from a 530 must be awesome.

I like stock gearing tho. but I commute 60 miles each way to work, so lots of freeway riding.

When I changed my chain and sprocket, the mechanic strongly advised not to opt for a 520 chain for any bike more than 600; even it is a factory racing chain. So I stocked it with 530 with +2 on the rear. Good difference!

I have -1 +2 with a 520 conversion and have had 0 probs. As far as speedo they are off from the factory at higher speeds anyways so I didn't worry about a speedo healer. Just pay attention to traffic and don't haul *** around and you won't have to worry about it.
