Default Some help with shogun sliders

I am trying to put on the 2 larger no-cut ones that go under the tank.

Can't seem to get the ferring off. Do I need to pull the front off to get the sides off? It seems that way.

Also the slide bolt looks like it mounts to a hole where a bolt currently exists and looks like its holding the engine together. Do I replace this bolt with the slider bolt and is my engine going to fall?

the mid fairings will come off without having to remove the upper. take the two bolts out on the top of the mid. take the 4 bolts holding the mid and lower together out. take the bolt located in the front "vent" out. pull the two push grommets out located on the inner v piece behind the mid.

take the bolt that is in the frame out and replace it with the bolt supplied by shogun.

That would be the ticket, thanks. BTW, it is good to know this in advance (I didn't and odds wold have it I would put them on wrong), they are not the same size. For anyone else putting them on, make sure you put the one with the thicker arm on the left because it does not fit right on the right and you will crack the friggen hex wrench like me and put a scratch (a deep scratch ) in the side.

Thanks for your help. It looks good but I am bumbed about my first deep scratch.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but is there any work around to better protect the collant elbow on the left side?

I know exactly what you mean. There is no way in hell you can torque the slider down as not to move and hit that elbow on a fall. This looks like my only complaint with these sliders.
