Soft Luggage and Tank Bag for CBR1000
I went from a ZX-14 to a CBR 1000 without thinking of luggage compatibility. Unfortunately none of it is. The CBR has no tank magnetism for my large Icon tank bag, the Cargo soft side bags will not fit at all due to the shape of the tail. If any of you have these products that fit post it up please, I will have to retool for touring.

The ZX-14 is a really nice bike. Tops as far as I'm concerned for confy long distance 3K plus trips and great fuel mileage. I may even go back to one in a couple years. I usually get a new bike every 2 years but my previous bike was a R1 and I missed the track days so wanted to try the CBR for more low end than the R1. I do tour every year no matter what I'm on.

Check out this site for the "fast rack" luggage rack.

Also "Gears" has a tank bag with suction cups, it works awesome! Once you push the lever down on the suction cupsyou cannot pull it off unless you pull up on the lever.
Goodluck, enjoy the CBR its an awesome bike!

Keep in mind if you have changed the undertail on your 2008 CBR1000 as many of us have done, the ventura luggage rack system will not mount to your bike. It requires you to bolt onto the 4 bolts that are on the stock undertail. I have the Hotbodies undertail and these holes are now covered which means that I would have to drill holes nto the new undertail in order to mount the ventura bracket. Anyways just a quick note for anyone interested in that particular brand. The Ventura system will fit on the R&G tail tidy undertail though!
Cheers!
Cheers!
