Default Brakes a little soft?

Hey 954'ers

I just got my 02 954, The brakes dont seem to be as good as my old 03 954. The setting on the front brake lever is set to firm but it just seems the bike should be stopping much sooner then it does. Fluid levels are fine and pads are good.

Any suggestions?

I would replace the brake fluid just to be on the safe side, and possible clean the calipers. If you have oem lines, replace them with steel braided lines.

I found two brands on ebay. Which one would you recommend?

could be that you're used to ceramic or sintered pads, and on this one you have organic too?

Was there a change in disks or calipers from the 02 to 03 model?

no, but, if you have organic pads, after a few hard stops they can feel a lil "soft" especially if you've been using sintered pads in all your other bikes. combine that with the oem lines, and it could feel soft.
