Hello everyone,

I am a newbee to this site and wanted to ask a question, I just purchased a black 06' 1kRR last week and now my tachometer just stopped working??????? can this have anything to do with me removing the tail light and turn signals... the tach was working after for one week, and now nothing?? please help, thanks

 

have you tried checking your fuse? it happened to me when i did a wheelie one time. came down too hard and it mustve grounded out and blew the fuse. just my .02 cents

 

Actually I did, the 30 fuse under the seat right? I checked it and everything was good, thank for the input

 

no it should be the fuse box on the left side fairing that has a vertical row of five or six fuses. the lid will tell you what fuse is for what part of the bike. check those first. if its not those then its more than likely your wiring or the gauge itself is busted. have you taken it to the dealership?

 

Actually, I got it fixed my dumba$$ blew the fuse because the turn signal wires got burnes up against the muffler and grounded out, but at least I know where to find the "other" fuses $100.00 bux later (dealer) those thieves alreday knew I was green but its alright Im back on the scene "ride hard or go home" right! thank sfor the input guys
