Hey there Chaos,

You may well have, like to stop there for lunch sometimes after a go fast session in the hills!

Will keep an eye out for you.

haven't check my last 3 vin#s'. but, all the rice rockets I've had, I've done some kind of modifications to every single one of those bikes. but I've been
successful in keeping my repsol totally stock, except for adding a seat cowl. just wondering how many of you guys had the guts to make any kind of mods to your
repsol. tried to buy aftermarket parts, but I decided not mess around with it.

#303 here .....

The plastics aren't the only difference ..... the Repsol's have non powder-coated frames ..... regular 1000RR's have powdercoated frames.

Just spoke to a Honda Tech, he said he knows of a VIN's in the 7,000's. He's talked to other Honda Techs and they believe there where 8,000 made. Not as limited as I thought but doesn't make me enjoy riding any less.

ORIGINAL: swang

The last three digits of my VIN are 489.

Whoa, even if they are the same bike 'cept for the plastic, man would I be pissed if the dealer "made" one and sold it to me. Any way to check?

The Vin on mine is 078 and i got a letter from honda congratulating me on my purchase of a new 07 repsol, so im hoping thats proof enough that i got a legit repsol, other wise call the dealer and give them the vin and they will tell you the factory color. It could be else were in the vin also, i know with hondas cars if the vin started with a J it was made in Japan and if itstarted withan H it was made incanada or mexico.

Oldracer: Nice bike collection!

I've had both 05 and 07 Repsols and they rule. I also have a 03 919 and a dirtbike.

chuck

ps - was told around 500 for the states. There's NO WAY they made 7k of these things.
