I went to the dealer and asked they say 500 in the US[sm=americanasmiley.gif]but they said some dealers made up some for sale[sm=wtf.gif]If you get all the parts for a repsol, tank cover and all $2,000 but some of the parts you have to have the vin# to get from honda

ORIGINAL: AirGuardian

With that said Anubis,

It gets better than that if they really were limited. Just check out the Blue Book Value sometime - price difference is over $1000.00 vs standard coloring. This is interesting with your ability of acquiring the plastics. If they're the same price it ain't a bad idea to get a Repsol replacement set if anyone trashes their own and are about to sell their baby. Value is considerably more it seems if you have to swap plastics.... just a thought since the bikes are identical anyway!

30 Dec 05 Kelley Blue Book Retail... 1500 Central.

05 CBR 1000RR - $8760.00
05 CBR 1000RR Repsol Edition - $9770.00

wow. that is very interesting. is the plastics the only difference between the repsol's and the other 1000rr's? if so, the price differences between the 2 will probably shrink over time. just for a comparison, the 2001 929's and the erion racing editions for the same year have the same retail value. and they have different plastics as well as black frames and swingarms. but it may depend on the number of units produced. either way i am jealous of all you repsol guys. that is by far the best stock paint scheme ever!

and changing the plastics doesn't make a true repsol. a regular 1000rr with repsol plastics is still a regular 1000rr. and a repsol with normal plastics is still a repsol. they are differentiated by the vin and not the colors.

The last three digits of my VIN are 489.

Whoa, even if they are the same bike 'cept for the plastic, man would I be pissed if the dealer "made" one and sold it to me. Any way to check?
