question about the kill switch
Hello, I am new at this forum, I have a 04 CBR 1000RR (awsome bike). I noticed on my bike ( unlike other bikes I have had ) when I try to start the bike with the kill switch on, the bike will still turn over just not fire up. Other bikes will not even turn over if the kill switch is on. I was wondering if that is the way all CBR 1000 bikes are, or do I have a problem with mine?
Well to tell you the truth I never have given it any thought, but my bike is the same way. I used to have a CBR 600 F3 but I do not remember how it worked. I believe the switch kills power to the fuel on the 1000RR and is working as designed. If anyone knows different please let me know.
I wouldn't be too worried about it, Hondas always had something different about them and this one of those things. Just the way engeeners designed the ignition system, that's my opinion anyway.
I am sure that if there was something wrong with it, there would be a recall by now.

Hey I don't wanna get too carried away here, after all the meaning of Keith's post was to figure out the KILL SWITCH puzzle.
