Default Question

Had the unfortunate event of low siding my bike today. I am ok shape. I’ve got bruised/cracked ribs and sore left shoulder. Full gear is the only way to ride. It saved my bacon today for sure.

The bike did not fair as well. Full left side of plastics will be required along with fairing stay. Maybe few other odds and ends after detailed inspection.

Do you guy have good place for OEM replacement parts and plastics for 2006 models?

Thanks for the help!

Also, has anyone gotten away from the hydraulic clutch? Do you like it with more feel and does it wear your forearm out because it is harder to pull in? I ask as now is an opportunity to make that change…just not sure….

Glad to hear you're OK .. I used Motorsports Galaxy off ebay. The woman I dealt with was always fast in responding to my emails and the gave me a package deal on all the items I got.

Motosport.com is usually pretty good on prices.
As far as the clutch, I think the Hydraulic clutch is easier than cable with just as good of feel, just my opinion though.

Well got the news today that insurance is going to total the bike. Not what I expected at all. Kind of bummed out…

Now I guess I’ll wait to see what 2010 brings for a new 1K. Has anyone heard of changes or seen any pics?

Glad you're okay! Watch ebay. Also, for those parts you won't find in salvage etc. bikebandit.com rocks! Did you have frame sliders? If not, get some of those too. Woodcraft makes a quality set.
