Mine is running alot better now the can and pipe, the fueling glitch i had at 2-4000 revs is gone, its does run a little rich but that will be sorted with a power commander when i can afford it.

Oh and thanks for posting that info MgA_ODEN, made life alot easier. Especially with the servo adjustment so you don`t get the f1 light coming on.

Is the price of a dyno really $500? The guy at Dynojet quoted me $100 to $150.

Hey I just ordered a power commander and I wanted to know if the only place you can put it is under the passenger seat?
Thanks
Jeff

You can put it any place you want. The only limiting factors will be the wiring harness and heat.

I have read that you want to keep the PC away from direct heat. The write up was by a guy who races CBR600RR's. He that said he zipped tied his PC it to the steel cross member located behind the riders seat. He covered it with racing cowl rear tail plastic that eliminates the passenger seat all together. That is why he had the room on top of the cross member. He continued to say that he had troubles with it overheating in that location, I assume because it was to close to the exhaust riser pipe. He moved it back to where it would go normally go, under the passenger seat, and he stopped having problems. I mention this to explain what the difference a few inches in placement makes in regard to how hot the bike is at different locations.

You want to place it in a location that you can get to if you want to change the settings. I tucked mine on one of the sides underneath the passenger seat. It has enough slack to slip it out and perform adjustments when needed.

That is the proper location as per the PcIII instructions, under the passenger seat on the left side so the cables run staight down the side and the ground wire lines staight up to the battery ground and then the rest go staight up to the injectors and tps connection. The first injector connection(orange) starts on the left then in a row work across to the right . It will be self explainitory when you go to do it. I also put a Gorilla 2-way Alarm under the other side of the rear cowl so I barely have any room left for my tools. The 2-way alarm by the way is a must have for peace of mind and security. These bikes are a hot item for the would be thief.
