Nope left it there being assembled!!! I will get one else where.

To their loss they are close, to me and I buy alot of bikes, ride for a while then sell for something different. So they might have lost less than $10 for 2 Honda Oil Filters on this sale, but sure could have made it up in future sales. Oh well that happens when you let someone else run your business while you are away.

And in the last 6 months I have purchased these bikes:

2003 CBR1100XX (Sold 20k miles)
2005 GL1800A (Sold 4k Miles)
2006 GSXR 1000 (Sold 4k miles)
2006 GSXR 600 (Sold 2k Miles)
2006 FJR1300A
2006 DR650SE

dude that sucks but if I was you I would go back, talk to the owner.
who knows maybe he will go lower now because of the agravation his idiot employee put you through. who knows maybe he will get fired, now that will be sweet. (them and car dealers all a bunch of scumbags.........
don't worry things happen for a reason maybe you'll get a better deal some where else.

Well, I am not too worried about it, since I was trying to get him to Match SoutherHonda's Price.

I am going to Tellico Plains, TN in about 4 weeks, so I will be driving right past Southern Honda. If I wait till then it will save me an additional $300 over what he was charging me anyway. And I am going right by there, not like I have to drive 800 miles over for just that. Going riding in the TN Mountains.

i'm with you on this one - it's about principle. i hate it when the price "changes". that's happened to me before when buying a car... and i did the same thing you did - thanks but no thanks and walked out.

Yea when we went to buy our quads we got him to tell us a good deal and we told him to write it up and sign it saying we could have that price...(each one msrp'd for like $5,899 we got both for $11,100 Cash with helmets tiedowns and flags) But at first when we returned money in hand they tried to dick us around and i went back out to the car to get teh paper and shove it in their face. Sure enough he ate his words and we got the deal.

Well when the guy told me "We are doing you a favor selling this bike to you so cheap"
I decided dont do me any favors, especially $275 more than the place I asked you to match.
And charging me $16.95 for State inspection, when it only cost $12.50. Well I will be out searching again today, this time I have an out the door price $9700, and they either can or cant do the deal. No hard feelings either way, just dont change the price when I get to the table.

Glad to hear someone willing to stand his ground with motorcycle stealership. Sorry you had to go through the hassle though, had to be a disappointment. Just remember, all good things to those that wait....

Well this story has a Happy Ending!!! I called another dealer yesterday, and asked if they would match another dealers price. He said if I could bring him the quote in writing. I called Pro-Cycle in MO and asked them to fax me their OTD Price. They Gladly did, and I took it to my local Dealer this morning. I figured I would get the normal response of " you would have to drive 1000 miles round trip to get this deal...blah blah blah. I even told my girlfriend I will be back pretty quick, because I know they will not do the deal!!!! Well I walked in with faxes in hand, and the sales MGR. said no problem I think we can do this deal. I was floored, I could not believe it. I had my cash in hand, and all my documentation. So here is the Deal just in case someone is in the mkt. for an 06 CBR 1000RR

Bike $8976.36
Tax $561.02
inv. tax $18.87
Doc Fee $50.00
Lic. Fee $43.80
Title Fee $33.00
Inspection $16.95

TOTAL OTD in TX $9700.00

DAMN this thing Rocks, So much smoother than my 06 GSXR 1000, and I swear it has more torque on the bottem end!!!
