Default Need a bit of advice

Hey , Im a new 1000rr owner, coming up from a 600F4.

My bike is an 06, which I got new as a factory left over, and its getting near time to do the first oil change. Im thinking of either putting in some AMSoil or royal purple, whichever route I go that is what the bike will continue to see. Just looking for opinions......

Personnally I wouldn't switch to synthetic oil until 2000-3000 miles. First oil change should be non synthetic type of your choice. But so many others will have different ideas for you.

just use the standard GN4 Honda oil. Unless you are taking it to the track or beating the every living hell out of it you really don't need synthetic. I've run GN4 in all my bikes an never had a problem.

Don`t use synth until at least 3000 miles, this will help the engine completely run in better. As has been said above.
