I agree with seaford guy. Right Hand control and discipline are a must! I went from a Softail straight to a Busa. You can do it, just respect the cylinder on the right grip!

I have two Harleys, a 97 superglide and an 09 Night Train as well as my 06 1000RR; I've had several other sportbikes before this one including the Busa. I say get that 07 1000RR. The additional torque is way more fun and you can enjoy the bike better at lower speeds. I used to teach MSF classes; a lot of the ERCs. Little difference in low speed control between the 1000 and 600; they are both harder to turn. It just takes PRACTICE and look ahead more. Counterweight more and more clutch control (friction zone) on the u-turns.

this is what i did to get a feel for the sport bike thing. i borrowed a buddies 08 busa for a month. i put ove 3000 miles on it . yes im hooked on the performance of a sport bike not just the speed. even tho the busa is heavy. i was still abe to ride it and the best thing i liked about the sport bike is no matter how hard i rode it ....it did not need something fixed after a hard days ridin. my hd does. . i want to thank every one for their info i have made the decision to switch . i will be looking at a liter bike a good friend just brought a 09 cbr 1000 and another friend brought the ebmw s1000 so im kinda torn between those two now. im not ready to purchase at this moment due to its summer and i want to wait till it gets a little cooler out.
im just gonna sit back and read more on these bikes.
