ANYONE USE A MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUG? HOW DO YOU LIKE IT, AND IS IT WORTH GETTING?

 

I use one for my car. (Haven't got it for the bike yet.). Works pretty good. I've collected a couple of bits, but nothing like those pictures you see them advertised with.

 

YA, I'VE SEEN THE ADS BEFORE. I WONDER IF THE PICS ARE REAL. SEEMS LIKE THAT MUCH METAL COULD DO SOME DAMAGE!

 

Yeah, those pictures have to be from seriously abused engines. If you have that much metal floating around in your engine oil between changes, somethings wrong. LOL.

when i changed my initial oil out at 25 miles i put in a magnetic plug

when i changed it again at 600 it had a few pieces of dust stuck to it

when i changed again at 1000 to amsoil again a little metal dust but not as bad

 

I just order on right now... Only 8 bucks.

 

I have one, use it and love it.
I had a clutch failure, and it let me know the oil was clean saving me from tearing down the motor.

We believe that every motorcycle should use a magnetic drain plug. We started out when we realized the Honda Rebel does not have an oil filter and our business has grown from there.
