Default Home made stand

What do you think of my home made stand. I could of bought one, but its much more satisfying when you build something your self, that is at least until my welds break and the bike falls to the ground, ha ha. No actually I build it a lot stronger than the ones you can buy (I have a tendency to over strengthen things I build, I guess that is a good thing). I like it the way it is but I am debating weather I should put wheels on it like the ones you buy. I already painted it up so I don’t know if I should or not. Those of you with stands do you usually wheel the bike around when on the stand?

I hope the pictures are here this is my first time tring to put pictures in.

Looks good. I personally like having the wheels, but your stand is definately getting the job done.

Nice work. Now go get some casters and hook it up.

Would you mind posting up the measurements and/or plans you used? I'm contemplating making myself a stand as well rather than going out and buying one.

that looks pretty good.
a buddy of mine made a front stand out of pvc back in 1990 for his gsxr 1100, and still uses it today on his new bike. only good for changing tires nad is a bitch to get the bike on and off by yourself but it works.
