I put a Two Bros pipe on my 05. And the heat shield sticks out so much farther than the new pipe under the undertail. Has anyone cut the heat shield so it matches flush with the undertail?

Will it melt the undertail if its trimmed down?

 

So I'm guessing nobody has done this yet? Is everyone riding with a stock pipe?

 

on my 06 i changed to a 2bros and just removed the heat shield entirely. never had an issue with it.
