Default gps question?

This might be a stupid question, but why do people put gps on their bikes?
don't mean to offend anyone, just wondering because if there is a reason maybe I will put one also. not to be like everyone else. I'm pretty sure there is a logical reason.
Thanks...

The biggest reason is exploring!!!

I can't tell you how many cool roads I've found because I saw a road and took it. I didn't care where it went or how long it was... then take another road off the first one.... then another. All because you got the GPS and you know you can't get lost.
