Default foot peg relocator

I just bought a 2004 1000rr. Test riding the bike was great, however after the first half hour on the bike my legs were really sore. I think I need to somehow drop the foot pegs by about an inch. What is a cheap alternative? Has anyone just raised the seat an inch somehow?

It might just be that you need to get use to the riding position. I use to get a lot of cramps for the first 1000 miles on riding my 1KRR ..but now no problems at all!
If you really want to drop the foot pegs, go with an adjustable rearset. I don't think the rearsets I've seen actually drop the peg position though. Most raise the pegs. (But I could be wrong.)

+1. Don't be making decisions like that until you've put a few k on it yourself. The rr has a VERY "sporty" riding position compared to other bikes, and will make you use muscles you may not have before. Give it a while before changing it up. As for peg relocation, nobody lowers them. All aftermarket rearsets (that I know of) move them UP, and back.

Johnny knows what he's talkin about! when i was looking at a 600RR, it was pretty uncomfortable. and he suggested rearsets, and i found some that you can move up to an inch back, and up to an inch up. they're really cool! try those, and see if they work!

check those out! maybe moving them back will help adjust your legs so they don't hurt as much!
