Default Engine refuses to start after accident!

Hi guys i'm new to this forum.
Had an accident with my bike, the water pump with the inner base too was damaged and needs to be replaced.
I've ordered for the parts but meanwhile i tried to start the bike to see if there is more damage in the engine.
There is no oil in the engine and the light is on, the engine is turning but not starting.
Each time i try to start it, the lights on the speedo and the headlight go off as if the batt is low.
The engine turn 2-3 times till it stops exactly as if the batt is low.
The HISS light is off since this accident, How can it affect the engine start and how to turn it on again?
Can you people help me out on this as i don't know much about cbr1000rr.
What can stop the engine from starting?
After the accident i replaced the damper with the oem HESD system.
Some people here say that it should be reprogrammed etc but i don't really like to send my bike here and there for repairs so i'd also like to know where there is any programming kit that includes the software and wires(to connectthe cbr 1000 to a laptop) for sale.
Any suggestion wud be nice from you people because i'm fed up with this motorcycle now.

Cheers..

I'm guessing it's probably your tip sensor, or bank angle sensor. I'm not sure how to reset that, but my guess is you have to unhook the neg battery cable?

Hey guys thanx for replies.
Trying to start it to c whether it's worth buying the parts or scrap the bike.
The parking stand sensor was hanging and i've put it back in place.
I know it is damaged but i wonder whether it will affect the engine start as it is in neutral so whether the stand was down or... it should start??
Am i right?
Do you guys know whether the fact that there is no oil in the engine prevents it from starting cuz the oil light is on!!??

Thanks again

Dry starting is way up there on the list of what NOT to do to an engine. I cringed when you said you did that.

There could be a thousand different things that could be the cause of the engine not starting. If I were you, I would take it to a shop.

I agree that you should not even think about starting it with no oil it in. You dont have to put the top of the line oil in it for now, just put some in it. Your only gonna be out a few bucks instead of a few hundred or more for a motor. Your about to destroy it that way and it may not allow it to run w/ no oil in it.

I had the same problem after my accident, then i realized that it was somethin small like me havin it in gear wit the kickstand down. Regardless, u should spend the $40 more or less and put some oil in the bike b4 u go and try startin it. Who knows, there may not be that big of a problem now but if u run it wit out that oil its gonna b a whole lot bigger. Let me know if ur gonna scrap the bike cause i might wana buy some parts if ur sellin them

ok crazy 1000rr,
maybe i went a little over board and will ask for your forgiviness iam not to big to do this. but every one else that posted in a way stated that starting the engine without oil would not be wise. iam sorry you had your accident and hope you get every thing worked out i no what i would feel like if mine were not running. seems like given you a little time you will get everything worked out.
