1) this weekend i spend my time installing HID on my 06 1K i notice that the coolant fluid is running low i was wondering if i could use the same coolant that is used for cars?

2) i installed both head lights with HID. But the small bulb in the middle is still stock. i was wondering what i can do to make it look equal like the head lights. without buying another set


3) i was riding the bike this weekend after installing my HID and my bike temperature was rising to high, compared to my friends who were riding with me.
i was at 225 they where around 215 , 208 (both were honda)
i was told about programing my fan to turn on sooner HOW DO I DO THAT if possible.

 

I don't know about the fan or the HID's, but with the coolant, you need the stuff that's good for all aluminum engines. If you got a bike dealer nearby, just pick up some from there. The car coolant has glycol maybe? and apparently it's bad for aluminum from what I remember.

 

be sure to check the coolant level like it says in the manual....the 1000rr needsthe bike idleing.....at temp....off the kickstand on level ground vertical....if you had the bike on the kickstand, not running....it will look low....let it run and and set it vertical and it'll probably show OK...IF it still needs some....Id just go to the nearest honda dealer and buy the honda coolant.....blue quart bottle for $4-$6....already pre-mixed with distilled h2o so you just open and pour it in.....

for the temp.....was it running 225 while you were cruising or just get up there at a stoplight or something.....mine runs a solid 180 while riding but will creep up to 220-225 at a stoplight or heavy trafficon a hot day....fan kicks on at around 220 i think...but once i get going again......it comes right back to 180

for the marker light.....ive seen some bright LED versions but i went to AutoZone and got a hyper-white marker light for about $3....pretty close to the sylvania silverstars im running....but i doubt you will find anything to really match the HIDs
