RE: cbr 1000rr loud slip-on?
hell_razor ........... I have been eyeing up that same slip on. I love the dual outlet look of the stock pipe and was waiting for someone to come up with something similar. I'm curious on the install. How did it go? What did you get, the aluminum, ti, or carbon?? Do you run a fender eliminator with it?? Just looking for ideas. Where did you get it and how much did you pay for yours if you don't mind my asking. Thanks for the comments/advice.

It is the Ti, Carbon tips (older style, so I am watching for damage). Install was fairly easy...but you have to watch the brake reservoir bracket. I really had to work with it to make sure the mid-pipe was not resting against it. The hardest and most time consuming part, for me, was the blasted band around the pipe to mount it up. I tried by myself for quite a bit and eventually had to ask a neighbor (the wife and kids were not home) to help hold it. Other than that, it was not bad. I am currently playing with some PC3 maps to determine which I like best. Unfortunately, I have not had enough time to ride lately to really beat on it. I would get with Brad at SuperbikeSupply.com for a price on the pipe. I paid $400 shipped, but it was before I was dealing with SBS. I did buy the Jardine FE from Brad and it was really easy to install. I bought 2 led plate bolts from Targa Accessories to keep the plate lit and mounted the plate with the bottom bolts to keep it high. I will try to post up some pictures soon if you want. The guys I ride with (cruisers, not sport) really like the sound and notice it a mile down the road. They say they hear me over their pipes now. However, it is not too loud at sane speeds in residential areas. My wife did not notice until I actually throttled it up a bit.
