Im a big fan of the Michelin Pilot Power 2ct. I ran a set on my 2002 R1 and absolutely loved them. I pushed those tires hard and they always helped me feel very confident. They never unexpectedly broke loose. A big bonus to me was the fact that i got 6k miles out of them. I have spoken with many other riders and motorcycle techs and they all love the michelin 2ct. Even if its not considered "best" it definetely is a high ranking tire

I'll be going with a set of Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires as soon as my Bridgestone BT-016s wear out at the end of the fall. They currently have around 10,500 miles on them.
I've read lots of reviews on the Pilot Road 3 tires and they look like they are the perfect choice for the type of street riding I do. I hope they will last as many miles as I've gotten out of my old BT-016s.

Though michelin pilot power pure tires are discontinued but still available online, I wish they weren't. I have replaced them with 2ct and other michelins. Bottom line is they provided EXCELLENT feedback, supreme traction, extreme weight reduction that resulted in slightly noticable acceleration gains even over other michelin tires.. Bang for the buck, safety, they have it. Absolutely killed all of the continental attack and hyper attack tires i have tried.
