nice rebuild, I guess you were not wearing your helmet or your eye would at least be better. Glad your alive though!

Yeah I was wearing my helmet and had it on correctly, it was a almost new ICON but DOT approved helmets are only rated for 1-2 full impact hits and after the first hit the strap was what broke my jaw and then after that it was able to slip off and I still bounce/rolled down the pavement another 116 feet. I am extremely lucky to be here today and even though the helmet didnt stay on lone it saved me from the first high speed hard falling hit so it did enough for me.

Yikes, sounds like a wicked impact. Makes me realize how lucky I was to walk away with just nasty bruises after T-boning a drunk driver at 45 as he did an illegal U-turn right in front of me on my 929 last spring.

I got off good with the insurance though, but only by luck. It was a hit-and-run but a taxi driver who was following me chased him down. I got a nice settlement and my bike and all my gear paid for so I got my 1krr and a few grand to spare.

Love the black and white, its the same style I was thinking about getting to freshen up my bike if I don't get a new one next summer. I was thinking of doing some red or yellow details though, maybe some pinstripe outlines around the black.
