Default from 954 to 1000rr

So today i just went and put a down on a new cbr 1000. I pick it up on friday. Looking at the specifications the new bike really only has maybe 10 more horses but slightly wieghs more. Can any ex 954 riders tell me how much of a difference in power and handling the new model has. Also i noticed under 3/4 or more acceleration on my 954 when the front end started lifting the wheel would start to shimmy does the new electronic steering damper eliminate this?

I can honestly say every time the front wheel has lifted, off pure power, the front wheel has been solid. I just got the beast a couple of months ago, however, the HESD has been amazing thusfar. u'llhave too much fun. I'm curious as well the power/handling difference between the two, so if you dont git a response, once you tinker around with the new liter, post the diff. What color sceme did you git, make sure you post pics JD.

A friend of mine moved up from the 954 to an 06RR and said that the new bike is easier to control and more fun. It is better handling and more forgiving.

He did say that it felt like his old bike (the 954) had a little more power in the lower speeds of first gear, but he also said he would NOT go back and he LOVES the 1000RR.

I love my 1000RR, but I moved up from a 900RR, so the diference was amazing.

The comparison by Charger at the bottom is awesome. He did a great job. Couldn't have said it better myself.

What? His screenname is the same as mine here? Must be coincidence.
