'92 600f2 to an '07 1000rr-what to expect?
The vast difference between an older F2 and the new 1000RR is that between a Neon and a Viper. (not saying your F2 is slow, but compared to the 1000RR.........well, yes, it is.
)
I think you'll notice a HUGE difference if you were to jump onto an 07/08 600RR........which if you aren't a speed junkie, it'll probably fit your needs better. (and be kinder on your wallet for the bike and insurance.)

well after all of the responses, it sounds like a 600 would most likely fit my riding style since i'm not a super speed junkie. i don't need to see 180mph, my 600 does 145 easy enough with room to go anyway. with that in mind, my f2 is in excellent condition, not a thing in the world wrong with it. so i've decided that even a new 600 isn't worth having the debt and higher insurance and so on. so i'm going back to something that i've wanted for a few years anyway. i bought an '08 700 Grizzly instead. that's right, another quad. now i have my banshee for rippin, the grizz for the family, workhorse, hunting, snow plowing and riding and whatever. the cbr1000 was for me and only me with a huge bill tagged on and something that i could only enjoy about 5-6 mo. out of the year. the grizz is for the family also, 365 / yr. still have my 600 for the street too. payments and insurance on the grizz leaves me open to other options as well without breaking the bank.
no regrets guys. the first time i took my kids for a ride on the grizz i knew that i did the right thing for me.
you guys are great with your feedback and i greatly appreciate it. sorry if i let you down, but my wife and kids aren't, lol.
