Hey 07Ceeberthousand. how much did you pay for your 07 model. I live in Seattle ,wa and I got a deal for a new 07 for 6999+tax.

 

I owned a 07 and 08 cbr1000rr and my 07 put down 155 to the wheel with over 2 grand dropped in it, and my 08 only pulled 158 to the wheel with over 3 grand dropped in it. Now I own a 09 zx10r and this bike stock ran 159 to the wheel stock. Thats why I moved to a kawasaki, all that money and my stock bike is better...please someone explain to me why the 08/09 honda is so good, cause mine just ate oil and after 150mph just didnt do much at all...

 

Depends where the money went, I could drop 3 grand on a cool paint job and not get any more power

I dont buy a bike and just drop 3 grand right off the back on cosmetic **** like a paint job haha. This is all I had on my 08 cbr1000rr- taylor made slip on exhaust, air filter, pcV auto tune,520 kit front and rear sprockets changed, ohlins forks and rear shock change,tre, secondary butterflies removed, and a couple misc cosmetic **** like windscreen,solo cowl ect. and it was a fast bike but nothing like my 10r. So you know I dropped a little more then 3 grand in the end. Did some motorwork even but it didnt do much...

 

With all that work and can't even match the stock '08 European CBRs... odd. A z-bomb alone should have put you over your 158 rwhp.

 

Thats what I'm saying, I was disappointed with my results on my 08, my 07 no way, it was the nasty of nasty haha. Lightest 1000 around, all together lost 40+ pounds over stock, no joke. But yeah so what all you got done to your 05? You do the little air intake mod that every owner should do that owns a 04-07 cbr1000rr?

 

knights RR doesnt take in air.. his air intake mod is a gypsy tear converter. ram gypsy tears.. its a filter made of hair from slaughtered gypsys than when air passes thru it... the hair cries and when this oxygen bearing gypsy tear ignites in the chamber... the agression of the gypsys is unleashed...his bike is boasting a total of 278gypsypower(Yes.... RW)
