Default cbr1000 exhaust on cbr600

Hello All Im new to the bike riding saw this forum so I thought I would unleash a few questions I had.

first off I bought a 2004 cbr600rr and the guy told me that it had cbr1000 headers and muffler on it. I was doing a little research and the 1000 actually does have a dual outlet tip on the muffler ( like mine) but not sure on the headers. so my question is how do I know what slip on pipe to buy 1000??? or 6000???

The guy told me that the 1000 headers on the 600s were about the best you can get "Im just going off what he said"

So is there any way I can tell what slip on to get???

well, i would doubt it, but post up some pics, of both headers and slip on, bc u may need to put some 600rr headers on there too.

I've done alot of mods on bikes and on gsxr's we do put 1000 header pipes on 600s but on honda I've onever done it. The exhaust looks the same as I've googled it but I couldn't find anyone accually doing it. You have asked the right forum as this forum has alot of knowledge and I expected an answer by now. I'd say use 600rr parts or wait for a better answer. I've got a leo vince full exhaust on my 600 and it made a ton of difference. Johnnyh

for that year of RR's the 1k and 600 are the same... exactly the same as a matter of fact. so shop for either or .. wont make any difference

Ok cool yeah the 1000 had two outlets and te 600 has 1 mine has two.
So the exhaust are identical. Like same part number?! If so then maybe if I get a full system it will run a little better. I thought maybe a slip on but I'm all about stuff running better. I'll just have to research a powerhouse exhaust matched w a power commander and a k&n. Sound like a winning combo??

I just looked up the part numbers and they are different. If they were the exact same wouldn't that have part number ?? Just curious. Not at all questioning your response maybe a dumb inquiry.
