2011 CBR 1000RR suspension settings
So I went to a race shop, and the gentleman there has been racing for like 20 years. I paid him to set up the bike for me, expecting shy of 30mm of sag in the front and rear.
He said that it's better to have about 35mm or so for this bike in the front because of the design of the forks being top loaded or something. The rear he said not to worry about unless I'm "really fast"--and left the sag where it was as well.
He did adjust the compression and rebound though and the bike was pretty uniform front to rear with the rebound.
My question to you all is: was he correct--or just lazy? Because I've always been of the mindset that you want about 30 street and 25 or so for the track. 35mm just seems a bit much.

This On the Throttle video has some very detailed info on setting up your suspension. The title is 'Setting Sag' but it has a lot more than that.
