2005 CBR1000RR Shifting and Noise on Hard Acceleration..HELP plz
Hello, Im new to the forum and the honda scene. I always rode Kawasaki and Suzuki. But I recently bought a 2005 1000rr. Its got 10k miles on it, and has never had anything replaced except for oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, and I just put a barnette clutch kit in it. I noticed when shifting from Nuetral to First its kind of snaps in, not hard to the point that I cant shift it, but you can feel and hear it going in to first. And I also noticed that on hard acceleration, there is a knocking noise that increases with the speed of the bike but seems to go away if I pull the clutch in or let go of the gas. The noise is not comming from the engine I know that because when the clutch is in and I rev the bike there is no knocking, Only on hard acceleration. Someone told me that it could be that I need a chain and sprocket, this would make sence because it is the factory chain and sprocket, and it does have 10k miles. Also it was loose but I pulled the tire back and tightend it up but the noise is still there. Any ideas?? Also I love this bike theres nothing that handles like it, and all the other riders have a hard time keeping upp, and im a big guy 6' 250+lbs....thanks guys
