Default 2005 1000rr stand up wheelies

OK, had an 01 929, then and 03 GSXR 1000, and just sold an 06 Duc 999 and bought a new in crate-no lie- 05 CBR 1000RR.

Clutching the bike up in 1st and 2nd is no prob, except it reminds me of the GSXR. It's still stock of course and a daily driver 30 miles each way, and I'm enjoying 48 mpg.

SO, my question is this. When trying to get the front end up doing stand ups, it isn't acting like my other in-lines. What is up? [:@]
Even 2nd gear at 50 mph, feels sluggish-feels the same in 3rd at 70. My GSXR could initiate stand up in 3rd at 60, and 4th at 75-80ish. Why does this 1000 feel like a 600 below 8G and what is the best choice for getting the low end hit.
I've thought of sprockets, a PC III along with a pipe and filter. What about the flapper mod too?

Thanks

MIke

Probably gear it would be best. But I feel ya. I love this bike, but most of ooomph is higher up like a 600. But more of it My old 954 came up a lot easier than this one does.

Basically I ride mine just like I would a 600.

Thanks Star for your response. The bike is gentle enough for around town, which is great, but when you want to pull the gloves off, she takes a bit of prodding.

Keep in mind the bikes very tall initial gearing. the other bikes mentioned have alot shorter initial gearing.

If you are planning on changing the pipe, the flapper is connected the factory muffler and any slip on will eliminate anyway.

I only went up 2 in the rear on my bike and am happy with it. I'm not a wheelie king, I like corners more, but it will now wheelie much easier. Before, second gear wheelies needed to be clutched, now it will power wheelie in second. I'm sure a 1 down in the front and two up in the rear would get your initial gearing close to what the bikes you mentioned are. just get a speedo healer.

the other problem with this bike is its designed to put power to the ground. The 1000RR's when compared to the other liter bikes have a longer swing arm. Honda did this for a bike that easier to ride aggresive without the front end coming up all the time. If you wanted a bike that wheelied easily.... a ZX-10 is the bike to get. But you sacrifice everything else and end up with a bike that is very twichy and hard to control. Honda making a 150hp easy to handle is a true testiment to their engineers.

3RD GEAR WHEELIES ARE TOO EASY IN MY OPINION, SITTING DOWN OR STANDING UP. EITHER WAY, ALL I DO IS
COMPRESS THE SHOCKS AND BLIP THE THROTTLE AND IT COMES RIGHT UP. I 210LBS AND WHEN THAT MUCH WEIGHT SHIFTS BACK ON THE BIKE IT SENDS THE FRONT END TOWARD THE SKY. I CAN DO IT IN FOURTH BUT I HAVE TO BE SUPER KRUNK WHEN TRYING
