2005 1000RR Intake Air Duct Removal
Hi everyone. I need to change my spark plugs on my 05 1000rr, but I'm having a real hard time removing the intake air duct from in front of the plugs. I removed the two upside down hex bolts from the front of the air duct, and two pan head screws from the side of the air duct. It feels loose on both sides when I wiggle it, but it just doesn't want to come out when I pull it forward. Is there a screw or bolt hidden somewhere that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance for any help!,
Joe

All that is left is two trim clips just above the front fender. If you have those out its time to pull. I know when I pulled down the air intake on my bike, it was a real pain trying to separate the intake from the main airbox. There is a molded in tab that holds the two together. One side is slotted and the inlet slides into the slot. It can be really stuck from that tab. Its located right in the middle of the inlet, so I think I used a flat head screw driver and pryed the two apart a little and it popped out.
heres a pic showing what you have to pry down. The intake actually has to tilt up and out. But if I remember right, there wasn't room so I had to pry it.
