search my friend. there are hundreds of posts on this topic
it is first of all a 1/6 turn throttle but that is beside the point.
basically it is shorter throttle cables and a different profile cam on the throttle sleeve that causes the throttle to open farther with less twist of the wrist.

both good bikes
new tech on the kawi
kawi is lighter with more hp and better brakes
still the 954 is a honda and still has that honda quality in it.
biggest complaint i have ever heard about them is that they like to wheelie with stock gearing
