About 2-3hp stock, when modified with exhaust and PC they are very similar. 200more rpm on the 06. Big deal.

 

actually, once you start modding the 06 it makes slightly better gains due to the HRC cam and better head design. also, its 500 more rpm not 200.. its a big difference.. 12.2k is a horrible redline let alone 11.7.. the gixxers turn 13.5.. sad IMO..

A 2004/2005 with a Full Exhaust makes about the same HP as a 2006 mapped with a PC3 and Slipon.

Two weeks ago two of my friend invited me to run my 06 1000RR against their bikes, a R1 and ZX10, on a High Power Dyno and the results made some interesting reading!

All three bikes where fitted with a after market slip on and filters. As one can see, the graphs for the ZX10 and R1 are almost identical, while the Honda makes better figures all the way to 12000 rpm when both the other bikes comes into their own.

Actually the rev limiter on the 04/05 is 12,200rpm where it's 12,400 on the 06. I dont care what the tach says, all you're getting is another 200rpm with the 06.

Akra tested both an 04 and 06 on their dyno with their full system. The end result was that they were within 1/2 horsepower of each other.

Just cuz you wish you would have waited till 2006 to get a CBR, is no reason to be a jerk to the rest of us. It is not like your bike sucks or anything,....

it's just that the 2006 is better. Buts its all good, you are providing me much amusement. (did i spell that right?)
