anyone know what the stock horse power is on the 06 CBR's?

 

it is quoted 170 to crank 150 to rear tire

 

Depends on the Dyno, the weather, the bike etc etc.

Seems to be about 4hp (wheel) more then the '04/'05 models.

 

all the mags say 155-158hp.....

Motorcyclist, and sport rider anyways..... i think its there May/june issues....

but 4 more than the 04/05 is to conservative, its more like twice that....

Mags always say quote higher than actual numbers. Mags are anywhere from 8-15hp higher than true numbers. The factory give the mags Ringers for motorcycles so they seem to be better than what they realy are. So dont be disappointed when you take your new 1kRR to the Dyno and it spits out 148hp, your bike isnt weak. I'll never forget when I first fell victim to the lies. It was 1999 and i just bought a Gixxer 750 and the mags were claiming 117Hp at the tire. Mine put out 106 and thats when the shop broke the bad news to me.

 

i have seen figures from 149whp-158whp.. so 153 is pretty much avg..

 

I was told 150's at sea level.

 

somewhere just above not quite enough...then again what is enough?

 

I have seen a 4-5 HP gain on back-to-back dyno runs.

Don't forget, an 04-05 can dyno anywhere from 142-158 stock.
The 2006's seem to be 146-159.
