ORIGINAL: SD2007 Heck let's run with this make up your own name thing. Next time I talk about brake discs I'll call them pancakes.
Despite the fact that writting 'K6 CBR1000RR' is not accurate (2K6 would work), I think everybody (except maybe one member) understood thatI was referring to a 2006 CBR1000RR.

On the flip side, if I was to write that I burned my 'pancakes', today, chances areeverybody (except maybe one member) would tell me to goonChef Ramsey's forumand see if he cares.

I just now saw this post and I know it has been some time ago, but I too am having problems with a coolant leak but I've noticed the white residue from coolant leaking on the engine on both sides. (on the stator cover on the left side and the crank case cover on the right side) I initially noticed mine before winter storage, then had it out a little bit since it's been warming up. I also noticed because of this my fan is kicking on at temperatures unusually low. (165f, 185f etc.) Mine also is a 2006 1000rr, is this a common problem?

I had a coolant leak on my motorcycle and couldn't find where it was coming from cause it was soo messy... Clean up the moto then dry everything and then turn it on find the leak..
Mine was a hose that moved a little and I took it out put it back on and tighten it really nice and tight.... Then I turned it on and fixed!!!!!!!! No more leaky.
