05 repsol vs. 07 repsol
I just sold my 929 and am thinking about a Repsol. What is the difference between the 05 and 07. Is it worth saving a little bit of money and going with the 05 or pay a little extra to get the 07 cause it is that much better? I did a search and didnt find a topic about it. hopefully this doesnt come off as a stupid question.
there is no difference in the same year repsol and non repsol bike
Soooooooooooooooo
look up comparisons between normal 04/05 bikes and 06/07 bikes
personally the 06 and higher is lighter,
bigger brakes
heavier fork springs for 190ish lb rider compared to the lighter springs on the 04/05
better valve train
higher rpm
the list goes on and on

thanks, will do.
sounds like the 07 would be the "better" of the two just cause of the improvements.
I have time so I will be looking into it, thanks again

Well, both are fast bikes. I actually prefer the looks of the '05 over the '07, but they are both awesome bikes. There are a few '05 and '07 Repsols for sale over on http://www.repsolforum.com. There's even a Repsol owned by a Repsol exec that was actually signed by Nicky Hayden. I could get you a great deal on that bike for sure.

its not about how many mphs the bike will go. its about reliability, handling, and stopping
the 07 is more reliable (no 04/05 stator problem
handles better because of the improved suspension (it comes with the 500 dollar HRC link upgrade that you can get for the 04/05 stock) not to mention the better springs. plus a slightly longer swingarm
and stops better because the brakes are 320mm compared to the 310s of the older ones
I think if I do go with the Repsol, It will be the 07. I really don't want to do anything until I see the 08 1000rr in person. Not a huge fan of the pictures but you never know until you see it in person.
I just went on a Xmas Toy Rally with my Repsol and parked mine beside an 05
In looks , alone I find the 07 sexier. But thats personal choice.
One thing I did do , is take off the rear pillion pegs. They seemed to break up the smooth lines of the bike.
Either way , you will not be unhappy.

The '08 CBR1000RR is the ugliest yet. It still hasn't grown on me. Saw it and sat on it at the bike show. It feels lighter for sure. Lets see how it does against its competitors.
