Hey guys, I'm new here and in the market for a 1000rr. I checked out a 04 1000rr with 1500 miles for $7500, only deal with it is that it's been dropped on the side so mirror/rear tail peg, pass.peg is scratched but the motor seems fine. Anyways I notice that the 04 are 433lbs to as 05's 193 or something... and the power is up a little more on the 05. Is this a pretty big change? Is there any reason why I shouldn't get an 04 comparing to the 05 or am I getting a deal here? I just dont want to to regret buying an 04 later on when I find out more info on these 1000rr's.

Also is it possible that the radiator could be scratched but the fairing isn't? What should I look for to see if there's a problem? Thanks in advance to whomever post back.

 

The only difference between the '04 and the '05 is paint.
Same HP same weight same everything.

 

Yeah Exactly the same models other than paint jobs, know this though the Black ones are faster!!

 

If you want to buy one that is different go for the 06's.
