Default Zen Rails - no scratches from saddle bags

Just picked up some new old stock plates from canyonchasers and engineered my own removable bolt system to hold the plates on. (you can email dave from the site to purchase these plates and some of the brackets for some bikes...unfortunately the CBR1000f didn't have bars so I had to improvise!)

http://www.canyonchasers.net/blog/ar.../201-guid.html

Now I can use my saddle bags without them touching the tail section and scratching them up. 4 bolts and all is removed. Insert nuts remain attached to grab rail (epoxy'd them in)

I'll try to get some better pics posted soon with pics of the bolt inserts.

Now I'm ready to go moto-camping!

Very sexy work indeed............that gets two thumbs up from me.

Any chance of sticking this in the How to or some other such place Pete ?

ALSO

which model rails did you pick from with CanyonChasers ?????

Based on further digging I see they are naught impossible to find
So I'm going to get a few sheets of HDPE (high density poly-ethelene)
(aka marine wood) in black and mimick what you have done...nice

HDPE / PVC Sheet LINK

Oh and thanks very much ......this has been a big ?? for me.
